DTC B1306

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The roof door module (RDM) checks the folding top outer latch actuator control circuits at least once every 200 milliseconds.

When requested, the RDM will supply 12 volts and ground to opposing sides of the folding top outer latch actuator in order to release or latch the header.

DTC DESCRIPTOR
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B1306 Convertible Top/Moveable Roof Front Latch Actuator Open Circuit

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
- The battery voltage is between 9-16 volts.
- The ignition is in the Run or Accessory position or retained accessory power (RAP) is active.
- A request for folding top open operation has been received by the RDM, and the RDM attempts to open the folding top.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
- If the folding top outer latch actuator control circuit is shorted to ground and the RDM supplies 12 volts to the folding top outer latch actuator, DTC B1306 will set.
- If the folding top outer latch actuator control circuit is shorted to battery voltage and the RDM supplies ground to the folding top outer latch actuator, DTC B1306 will set.
- If the folding top outer latch actuator control circuit is open and the RDM supplies 12 volts or ground to the folding top outer latch actuator, DTC B1306 will set.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
- Stores a current DTC B1306 in the RDM.
- Folding top operation is suspended.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- This DTC will clear on the current status after the condition for setting the fault is corrected.
- A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present.
- History and current DTC can be cleared using the scan tool.
