Automatic Level Control



DTC 023

Circuit Description

The automatic level control sensor monitors for excessive compressor activity and the compressor is limited to 255 seconds for a leveling function.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC 023 Excessive Compressor Activity

Conditions for Running the DTC

The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

This DTC is set when the automatic level control sensor detects the compressor has been running for 255 seconds during a leveling function.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* The automatic level control sensor disables the leveling functions.
* The automatic level control sensor disables inflator functions.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The conditions that caused the DTC to set have been removed.

Diagnostic Aids

* An AIR LEAK in the system will cause this DTC to set.
* If the rod is disconnected, DTC 033 will be set.

Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
3. This step tests for battery positive voltage at the level control compressor relay. The ELC fuse supplies power to the level control compressor relay.
4. This step verifies that the level control compressor relay contacts are working.
5. This step tests the ground circuit for the compressor motor.
10. This step verifies that the level control compressor relay is replaced.
