DTC Descriptor

DTC P061A
- Control Module Torque Performance

DTC P061B
- Control Module Torque Calculation Performance

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM). The HPCM monitors its ability to read and write to the memory. The HPCM processor monitors the data to verify that the indicated torque calculation is correct.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The control module runs the program to detect an internal fault when the key is ON.
* Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

P061A

The control module has detected that transmission output torque is not the same as delivered axle torque.

P061B

The control module has detected an internal malfunction.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

* DTCs P061A and P061B are Type A DTCs.
* The HPCM commands the battery energy control module (BECM) to open the high voltage contactor relays.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTCs P061A and P061B are Type A DTCs.

Circuit/System Testing

Program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs.

If the DTC resets, replace the Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Assembly (PIM).
