DTC P1ADE, P1ADF, P1AE0, or P1AE1

DTC P1ADF
- Drive Motor 1 Control Module System Voltage High

DTC P1AE0
- Drive Motor 2 Control Module System Voltage Low

DTC P1AE1
- Drive Motor 2 Control Module System Voltage High

Circuit/System Description

The Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module (PIM) contains two Motor Control Modules (MCM) and a Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM). The HPCM and both MCMs share the PIM ignition voltage circuit, battery voltage circuits and chassis ground.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition is ON

Conditions for Setting the DTC

DTC P1ADE and P1AE0

MCM ignition voltage is less than 7.7 V for 365 milliseconds.

DTC P1ADF and P1AE1

MCM ignition voltage is more than 18 V for 1 second.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTCs P1ADE, P1ADF, P1AE0 and P1AE1 are Type C DTCs.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTCs P1ADE, P1ADF, P1AE0 and P1AE1 are Type C DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Clear the DTC information.
2. Turn the ignition OFF for 1 minute.
3. Turn the ignition ON.
4. Retest for DTCs P1ADE, P1ADF, P1AE0 and P1AE1.

Circuit/System Testing

Test for HPCM DTCs P0562 or P0563.

Perform HPCM P0562 or P0563 diagnosis if set. P0562
If HPCM P0562 or P0563 are not set, replace the Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Assembly (PIM).
