Diagnostic Instructions

- Drive Motor 2 Control Module System Voltage Performance

Circuit/System Description

The motor control module (MCM) monitors the 12 V system voltage.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The control module has detected an intermittent ignition 1 circuit voltage.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTCs P1B09 and P1B0A are Type C DTCs.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTCs P1B09 and P1B0A are Type C DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Clear the DTC information.
2. Turn the ignition OFF for 1 minute.
3. Turn the ignition ON.
4. Retest for DTCs P1B09 and P1B0A.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect drive motor generator power inverter control module (PIM) connector X1.
2. Ignition ON, test the voltage on the ignition Switch circuit, between connector X1 terminal 20 and ground. The voltage should be 11-14 V.

^ If less than the specified range, test the ignition 1 Switch circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PIM.
