Diagnostic Instructions

DTC B1023
- Integral Switch Performance

Circuit/System Description

The driver and passenger door modules (DDM PDM) are integrated control module switch assemblies.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The battery voltage must be between 9-16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The DDM or PDM receives simultaneous active signals from both sides of an integrated switch.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The DDM or PDM ignores inputs from the malfunctioning switch.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

* This DTC will clear on current status after the condition for setting the fault is corrected.
* A history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition ON, verify the door lock and side window switches of the affected door module are Inactive.

^ If any of the integrated switch inputs are displayed as Active while in an inactive state, replace the door module.

2. Clear the DTCs.
3. Activate all of the integrated switch functions.

^ If the DTC resets, replace the affected door module.
