Fuel Tank Filler Door Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the fuel filler door (1).
2. Remove the fuel filler cap (4) and tether (3).




3. Remove the fuel filler pocket (1). Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Disconnect the fuel filler door interlock cable from the fuel filler door. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).




5. Remove the screws (1, 2) from the fuel filler door.
6. Remove the fuel filler door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the fuel filler door to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the fuel filler door screws (1, 2).

Tighten the screws in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable to the fuel filler door. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Install the fuel filler pocket (1). Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement (Service and Repair).




5. Install the fuel filler cap (4) and tether (3).
6. Close the fuel filler door (1).
