Condenser Replacement
Tools Required
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) condenser.
3. Remove the receiver dehydrator, if necessary. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (Service and Repair).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the receiver dehydrator, if necessary. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. If replacing the condenser add the specified amount of polyalkylene glycol (PAG) oil directly to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities ([1][2]Capacity Specifications).
3. Install the A/C condenser.
4. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging).
6. Leak test the fittings using the J 39400-A.
