DTC P268A Fuel Injector Calibration Not Programmed

Circuit Description

The electrically erasable & programmable read only memory (EEPROM) memorizes fuel injector flow rate information. If the ECM detects fuel injector flow rates are not programmed into the ECM or an error in the programmed fuel injector flow rates this DTC will set.

Condition for Running the DTC

^ The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for Setting the DTC

Either of the following condition is met:
^ The ECM detects that the fuel injector flow rate is not programmed.
^ The ECM detects an error in the programmed fuel injector flow rate.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

^ The ECM illuminates the MIL when the diagnostic runs and fails. Refer to DTC Type Definitions for Action Taken When the DTC Sets - Type A.
^ The ECM limits fuel injection quantity.
^ The ECM inhibits EGR control.
^ The ECM inhibits DPF regeneration control.
^ The ECM inhibits cruise control.

Condition for Clearing the DTC

^ Refer to DTC Type Definitions for Condition for Clearing the MIL/DTC - Type A.

Notice: Clear the DTC with a scan tool after programming the fuel injector flow rates.
