DTC Descriptor
DTC B1395
- Device Voltage Reference Output Circuit
Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
The power sliding door control module (PSDM) uses an optical sensor to monitor the power sliding door (PSD) position at all times. The optical sensor requires a 5-volt reference circuit and a reference return circuit, as well as a signal 1 and a signal 2 circuit. The output of the 5-volt reference circuit is normally between 4.8-5.2 volts.
Conditions for Running the DTC
A DTC B1395 may be set whenever the PSDM is powered up and has been commanded to operate the power sliding door.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The PSDM detects that the 5-volt reference output is not within the normal range of 4.8-5.2 volts.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The affected power sliding door will be inoperative.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present.
* When the fault is no longer present, the DTC will be a history DTC.
* A history DTC will clear after 50 ignition cycles.

Circuit/System Verification
Ignition ON, command the appropriate power sliding door to OPEN and CLOSE with a scan tool. The power sliding door should OPEN and CLOSE as commanded.
Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the appropriate PSDM.
2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm between the low reference terminal 13 at the PSDM and ground.
• If greater than the specified range, replace the PSDM.
3. Ignition ON, test for 4.8-5.2 volts between 5-volt reference terminal 12 at the PSDM and ground.
• If greater than the specified value, replace the PSDM.
4. Test for 4.8-5.2 volts are between sensor 1 signal terminal 10 and low reference terminal 13 at the PSDM.
• If not the specified range, replace the PSDM.
5. Test for 4.8-5.2 volts between sensor 2 signal terminal 11 and low reference terminal 13 at the PSDM.
• If not the specified range, replace the PSDM.
6. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the sliding door motor assembly.
