DTC Descriptor
DTC P0752
- Shift Solenoid (SS) 1 Valve Performance - Stuck On
Circuit/System Description
The shift solenoid 1 and transmission control module (TCM) are part of the control solenoid valve assembly and are not serviced separately. The TCM supplies 12 V to shift solenoid 1 on the high side driver 1 circuit. The TCM controls the normally closed shift solenoid 1 on the shift solenoid 1 control circuit. The shift solenoid 1 controls the transmission fluid to the 1-3 clutch regulator valve assembly and the Shift Solenoid Valve - Mode A.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* EVT 1 or EVT 2 is commanded.
* Transmission Pressure is greater than 350 kPa.
* Propulsion is active.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The TCM detects shift solenoid valve 1 is ON when commanded OFF for 3 seconds.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* DTC P0752 is a Type B DTC.
* Inhibit mode 1.
Conditions for Clearing the DIC/DTC
DTC P0752 is a Type B DTC.

1. Verify that P0721, P0722, P0723, P0966, P0967, P0969, P0970, P0971, P0973, P0974, P0976, P0977, P2720, P2721, P2728, P2729, or P2730 is not set.
• If any of the DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle.
2. Perform the Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check Testing and Inspection.
3. Perform the Line Pressure Check Line Pressure Check.
4. Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Inspection Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Inspection.
5. Perform the Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Solenoid Performance Test Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Solenoid Performance Test.
• If the shift solenoid 1 is found to be leaking or stuck OFF, replace the Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly.
• If the Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly tests normal, inspect the valve body components and hydraulic circuits in the chart listed below for a leak or a stuck valve. Carefully inspect each component for that condition. Repair or replace as necessary.
