With Electronic Spark Control (ESC)

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove rotor. If necessary, use two screwdrivers under upper part of rotor to pry off.
2. Remove reluctor by prying up from bottom of reluctor with two screwdrivers (7/16 inch maximum width of screwdrivers). Use care not to distort or damage reluctor teeth.
3. Remove the two screws retaining plate to housing and lift out the plate and pick up coil as an assembly.

NOTE: The distributor clamp springs are held in place by peened metal around the openings and should not be removed.

6. Remove distributor shaft retaining pin and slide retainer off end of shaft.
7. Using a file, clean burrs from around pin hole in shaft and remove lower thrust washer.
8. Push shaft up and remove through top of distributor body.

ASSEMBLY
1. Lubricate and install upper thrust washer(s) on shaft and slide shaft into distributor body.
2. Install distributor shaft retainer and pin.
3. Install plate and pick up coil assembly and retaining screws.
4. Position reluctor keeper pin into position on reluctor sleeve.
5. Slide reluctor down reluctor sleeve and press firmly into place, then install keeper pin.
