15-Step G, Shorted Distributor Pickup Coil

1. Place ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Disconnect [1][2]power module 12-way electrical connector.
3. Connect a suitable voltmeter between terminal No. 12 of [1][2]power module 12-way electrical connector and ground.
4. Place ignition switch in the RUN position.
5. If voltmeter reading is 7 1/2 to 9 volts, check wiring from terminal No. 12 of the [1][2]power module electrical connector to logic module for open or short circuit.
NOTE: Make sure the terminal in cavity No. 12 is not spread apart so that it cannot touch the [1][2]power module pin.
6. If voltmeter indicates 0 voltage, proceed to Test 15 step H.
