DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS California Emissions Recall # 524 -- CO emissions

^ This service requirement applies only to 1987, 1988 and 1989 model year Chrysler Conquest vehicles equipped with a 2.6L turbocharged/intercooled engine and California emission control system.

^ This recall is subject to the new State of California Registration Renewal/Emissions Recall Enforcement Program implemented in 1992. Since involved vehicles must have the recall service completed before registration renewal, dealers should provide prompt service to prevent possible registration delays.

Be sure to provide a Vehicle Emission Recall Proof of Correction Form to each owner upon completion of the recall service, for use as proof in renewal of the vehicle registration. Blank Proof of Correction forms (Form No. 81-016-1053) have been supplied separately to all California dealers by Compak Mail for this purpose.

^ Non-California Dealers will also receive copies of these recall instructions by Compak Mail. Some involved vehicles may have been relocated outside of California, and the instructions will allow dealers to perform this service on such vehicles upon request. Non-California dealers must order the necessary parts as needed.

^ Removed catalytic converters must be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center.
