PLYMOUTH HORIZON AND DODGE OMNI - REAR CENTER


CAUTION: THIS PACKAGE IS ONLY FOR THE REAR CENTER SEATING LOCATION FOR THE 1989 AND LATER MODELS LISTED ABOVE. DO NOT ATTEMPT INSTALLATION IN ANY OTHER VEHICLES. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED PARTS.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

1. Open cargo hatch.

2. Lift the floor carpet up exposing the sheet metal.

3. Locate three steel plugs located on the floor.

4. Remove the center plug with a screw driver. Do not use the outboard plugs.

5. Insert the bolt through the plate and the floor.
6. From the underside of the vehicle, place the reinforcement on the bolt and hand tighten the flanged nut (assure that the sealer side of the reinforcement is placed against the floor).

7. (NOTE: THIS OPERATION MAY REQUIRE THE ASSISTANCE OF ANOTHER PERSON.)

While holding the plate as shown in the illustration, tighten the flange nut (tighten nut to 250 inch-pounds torque).

8. Lower the carpet into its normal position and with a sharp knife cut slot in the carpet over the anchor to expose the plate end, as shown in the illustration.

9. Slip the carpet over the plate and press the outside edge of the carpet onto the velcro strip.
