SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Some instrument clusters on G-J-Kand S-body cars are being built which incorporate a new integrated bulb assembly. This integrated bulb assembly has the bulb permanently welded to the socket.

PARTS REQUIRED

There are no replacement integrated bulb assemblies available at this time to service this new unit. If a bulb failure occurs on this new assembly, it will be necessary to replace both the bulb and the socket with existing service parts listed below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

The new integrated bulb assembly cannot be removed from the front of the instrument cluster as in the past. The new integrated assembly must be serviced from the rear of the cluster.
