Digital Volt/Ohmmeters
Digital Volt/OhmmetersWhen using a digital volt/ohmmeter to check resistance. Make sure you determine any built in resistance of the meter by touching both leads together. For example, after touching the leads together, the meter indicates 0.6 ohms. This is your 0 point. When checking the circuit resistance, 0.0 ohms would be 0.6 ohms and 0.5 ohms of resistance would be 1.1 ohms.
After the Problem has been Found and Repairs are Made
It is necessary to test and reevaluate the system to be sure that all problems have been corrected.
Tools and Equipment
Make sure you have the following equipment:
1. DRB II
2. Analog volt/ohmmeter
3. Jumper wires
