OPERATION OF THE DRBII (Chassis System)Once connected to the vehicle and the correct cartridge is plugged in, the DRBII will perform a "Self Test". During this time all segments of the display should turn on, the red and green indicator lamps should turn on, and you should hear a beep. If one of these functions do not occur or the message "hardware failure" appears on the display, the ORBII has a malfunction and must be repaired.
NOTE: During the self test function, make sure that none of the keys on the keypad are pressed.
After a few seconds the displayed message will be:

After a few seconds the displayed message will be:
SELECT MODEL YEAR
1983-1985
PRESS F1, F2 FOR MORE
The CHASSIS system is selected by pressing either Fl or F2. Once the display indicates CHASSIS SYSTEMS, press Yes.
After a few seconds the displayed message will be:
SELECT MODULE
LOAD LEVELER
PRESS Fl, F2 FOR MORE
Press Yes again and the DRBII will display:
SELECT TEST MODE
ACTUATOR TEST
PRESS Fl, F2 FOR MORE
Press Yes again and the DRBII will display:
TURN IGNITION ON TO
BEGIN LOAD LEVELER
DIAGNOSTICS, PRESS
YES KEY WHEN READY
Turn ignition switch to the on position, return to the rear of the vehicle and sit on the edge of the trunk opening on the right of the vehicle and press YES.
From this point on the DRBII tests the load leveling system automatically. Turn to the CHASSIS diagnostic part manual for the continuing test procedures.
