DISCUSSION:

Several design improvements have been made to the 1995 Body Control Module. These improvements include:

^ Dome and halo lamp operation changed as described in TSB 08-03-95.

^ Eliminated the need to calibrate the wiper system as described in TSB 08-11-95 Rev. A.

^ Eliminates the BCM from becoming Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) enabled when switching VTA equipped PCM's to non-VTA vehicles as described in TSB 08-02-95 (vehicle may not start when modules are switched, but modules will not be contaminated).

Effective immediately, the new P/N Body Control Module will be shipped by the vendor when any of the old part numbers are ordered (JA Body Control Modules must be ordered on DIAL Function 11).

**NOTE;
ALL BODY CONTROL MODULES (BCM), ARE SHIPPED WITH VEHICLE THEFT ALARM (VTA) DISABLED. WHEN INSTALLING A BCM ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH VTA (SALES CODE "LSA"), THE VTA MUST BE ENABLED USING THE SCAN TOOL (DRB III) OR THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START OR START AND DIE.**
