Steering: Description and Operation

The type of power steering which is responsive to engine speed has been adopted in all models. The main features are as follows. Four-spoke steering wheel has been adopted. In addition, (SRS) Supplemental Restraint System is provided as a standard in all vehicles.
The steering column in all vehicles has a shoe absorber mechanism and a tilt steering mechanism. A vane-type oil pump with a fluid flow control system included has been adopted. The steering gear and linkage is an integral rack and pinion type.
