Inside Door Handle Service Parts Available
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inside door handle replacement.
MODELS:
2004 - 2006 (ZH) Crossfire Coupe/Crossfire Roadster
DISCUSSION:
It is no longer necessary to replace the door trim panel when only the door handle needs to be serviced. The door interior pull handle is now available for service replacement.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to the detailed service information available in TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 23-Body > Door - Front > Trim Panel > Removal.
2. Place the trim panel up side down on a clean covered bench.
3. Cut the three silver latches off of each inner door handle pull anchor using a sharp cutter (Fig. 1).
CAUTION:
Do not damage the trim panel.
4. Remove the old inner door handle.
5. Position the new inner door handle to the trim panel with the label up side down (Fig. 2).
NOTE:
The label on the inner door handle MUST be installed up side down.
6. Snap the door handle into the trim panel.
7. Install the trim panel. Refer to the detailed service information available in TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 23-Body > Door - Front > Trim Panel > Installation.
