PARTS REQUIRED:

FRONT REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Turn steering wheel all the way to the left.

2. Using the foam tape, p/n 04318028, cut one piece to a length of 152 mm (6.0 in.) and one piece to a length of 304 mm (12.0 in.). Then cut each piece in half lengthwise. This will make four usable pieces for the front of the vehicle (one piece of each length will be used in each front wheel house opening).

3. Push back the left front wheelhouse splash shield and, using denatured alcohol, clean behind the lip of the front fender where it contacts the splash shield in the two areas shown in (Fig. 1). Be sure the inside lip of the fender is clean and dry.

4. Position the rearward piece of foam tape, 10 mm (0.5 in.) X 304 mm (12.0 in.) with the sticky side of the foam tape against the inner lip of the fender between the fender and the front wheelhouse splash shield in the area identified as number 3 in (Fig. 1).

5. Position the forward piece of foam tape, 10 mm (0.5 in.) X 152 mm (6.0 in.) with the sticky side of the foam tape against the inner lip of the fender between the fender and the front wheelhouse splash shield in the area identified as number 1 in (Fig. 1).

6. Repeat Step # 3 through Step # 5 on the right side of the vehicle.

7. Return the steering wheel to center.

REAR REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Using the foam tape, p/n 04318028, cut two pieces to a length of 304 mm (12.0 in.). Then cut each piece in half lengthwise. This will make four usable pieces for the rear of the vehicle (two pieces in each rear wheel house opening).

2. Push back the left rear wheelhouse splash shield and, using denatured alcohol, clean behind the lip of the rear quarter panel where it contacts the splash shield in the area shown in (Fig. 2). Be sure the inside lip of the quarter panel is clean and dry.

3. Stack two pieces of foam tape, one on top of the other to achieve double thickness.

4. Position the stacked pieces of foam tape, 10 mm (0.375 in.) X 304 mm (12 in.) with the sticky side of the foam tape against the inner lip of the quarter panel between the quarter panel and the rear wheelhouse splash shield (Fig. 2).

5. Repeat Step # 2 through Step # 4 on the right side of the vehicle.
