Engine Controls - A/C Won't Engage As Engine Is Started

StarSCAN(R) SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 8.04 OR HIGHER.
StarMOBILE DESKTOP CLIENT -OR- StarMOBILE STANDALONE MODE MAY ALSO BE USED TO PERFORM THE FLASH.

Flash: A/C ON Does Not Engage Right After The Engine Is Started
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
MODELS:
2007 - **2008** (LE) 300C/300 Touring (International Markets)
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to right hand drive (RHD) models equipped with a 3.5L engine (Sales Code EGG) **built before April 30, 2008 (MDH 0430XX).**
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Intermittently, some customers may notice that the A/C is not operational after the engine is started, despite the A/C Select switch being in the ON position. System performance may return to normal after the A/C switch is cycled to OFF position and then back to the ON position or the engine is restarted.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a scan tool with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all A/C systems are functioning as designed and vehicle has proper A/C charge. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the above symptom/condition is experienced, perform the following repair procedure.

NOTE:
If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted.
1. Reprogram the PCM with the latest software. Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT, Refer To Group 8 - Electrical > Electronic Control Modules - Service Information > Module - Powertrain Control > Standard Procedures > PCM/ECM Programming - Gas.
2. Type the necessary information on the "Authorized Modification Label" and attach it near the VECI label.
