B1D13-PASSENGER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT HIGH

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information. Electrical Diagrams

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
When the Passenger Door Module senses voltage above 5.5 volts on the Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit for over 30 ms., this code will set.

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Operate the Passenger Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B1D13 PASSENGER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT HIGH as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. TEST FOR A SHORTED MIRROR

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the passenger mirror connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage between the (P146) Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit and the (P66) Passenger Mirror Sensor Ground circuit.

Choose result.

Between 4.8 and 5.02 volts

- Replace the Passenger Mirror.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

Greater than 5.02 volts

- Go To 5

Less than 4.8 volts

- Go To 3

3. TEST THE (P66) PASSENGER MIRROR SENSOR GROUND WIRE FOR AN OPEN

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance between the (P66) Passenger Mirror Sensor Ground and the (Z911) Ground circuit in the Mirror connector.

Is the resistance below 2.0 Ohms?

No

- Check and repair the (P69) or (P66) Passenger Mirror Sensor Ground circuit for an open from the mirror connector to the module connector, if OK replace the appropriate Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Go To 4

4. (P146) PASSENGER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY WIRE OPEN

1. Gain access to the Driver Door Module C4 connector but DO NOT disconnect.

NOTE: The graphic shows the terminal end of the connector for referance only. Back probe the wire end of the connector.

2. Back probe and measure the voltage between the (P146) Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit and ground.

Is the voltage above 4.8 volts?

Yes

- Repair the (P146) Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit for an open to the mirror.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

5. TEST THE (P145) OR (P146) PASSENGER MIRROR POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY WIRE SHORTED TO VOLTAGE

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C4 connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage between the (P146) Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit and ground.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the (P146) Passenger Mirror Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
