- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects system voltage is below 7.5 volts.
1. DTCS IN THE PCM
NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read and record the DTCs from the PCM.
3. With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
4. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. With the scan tool, read and record the DTCs.
7. With the scan tool read the DTCs from the PCM.
Are any charging system codes present?
Yes
- Repair the charging system DTC in the PCM. Testing and Inspection.
No
- Go To 2
2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Connect voltmeter to vehicle battery.
Is the vehicle battery voltage under 8.2 volts?
No
- Go To 3
Yes
- Repair the charging system.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
3. CHARGING POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
1. With a scan tool read Power Supply Voltage.
Is Power Supply Voltage under 8.2 volts?
No
- Perform the ABS INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Testing and Inspection.
Yes
- Replace the Anti-Lock Brake Module.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
