B1D10-DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information. Electrical Diagrams
- When Monitored:
Continuously.
- Set Condition:
When the Driver Door Module senses greater than 4.8 volts on the Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit for over 100 ms., this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, monitor the Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Sense voltage and operate the mirror switch and any optional features located in the mirror to see if at any time the voltage is over 4.8 volts.
4. Cycle the ignition from Off to On three times and leave On.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1D0D MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH or is or did the sense voltage go over 4.8 volts?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. TEST FOR A SHORTED MIRROR
1. Disconnect the Driver Mirror connector.
2. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, monitor the Mirror Horizontal Position Sense voltage and operate the mirror switch and any optional features.
4. Cycle the ignition from Off to On three times and leave On.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display the same DTC or is or did the sense voltage go over 4.8 volts?
No
- Go To 3
Yes
- Go To 4
3. TEST THE (P69) DRIVER MIRROR SENSOR GROUND WIRE FOR AN OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance between the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground and the (Z912) Ground circuit in the Driver Mirror connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 Ohms?
No
- Check and repair the (P69) Driver Mirror Sensor Ground circuit for an open from the mirror connector to the module connector. If OK, replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
Yes
- Replace the Driver Mirror.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
4. TEST THE (P65) DRIVER MIRROR HORIZONTAL POSITION SIGNAL WIRE FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the vehicles negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C4 connector.
4. Measure the resistance between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal circuit to each of the other wires in the Driver Door Module C4 connector.
Is the resistance below 5,000 Ohms between the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Signal circuit and any of the other wires in the C4 connector.
Yes
- Repair the (P65) Driver Mirror Horizontal Position Signal wire for a short to the other wire.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
