B2104-IGNITION RUN/START 1 CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
With the ignition off.

- Set Condition:
The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) detects an open in the run/start relay coil control circuit.





1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
1. Cycle the ignition switch from on to off.
2. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. If the DTC is stored, check for an intermittent condition. Inspect the run/start relay (22) for proper fit. Look for pushed out or corroded terminals at the relay socket.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. CHECK THE RUN/START RELAY (22)
1. Verify the related fuse is not open.
2. Remove the run/start relay (22) and substitute it with a known good relay.
3. Attempt to start the engine.

Does the vehicle start?

Yes

- Replace the run/start relay (22).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the TIPM.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
