Cylinder Head Bolts 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.)

Head Bolt Reuse/Replace

CAUTION: The cylinder head bolts are tightened using a torque plus angle procedure. The bolts must be examined BEFORE reuse. If the threads are necked down the bolts must be replaced.

Surface Variation - Head-to-Block
Cylinder head must be flat within:
Standard dimension = less than 0.05 mm (0.002 inch.)
Service Limit = 0.2 mm (0.008 inch.)
Grinding Limit = Maximum of 0.2 mm (0.008 inch.) is permitted.

Deck surface must be within service limit of 0.1 mm (0.004 in.)

Intake Manifold Torque





Intake Manifold Upper 28 Nm (250 ft. lbs.)
Intake Manifold Lower 12 Nm (105 ft. lbs.)

Camshaft Sprocket

Camshaft Sprocket - Bolts - Right Side 102 Nm+ 1/4 Turn (75 ft. lbs.+ 1/4 Turn)
Camshaft Sprocket - Bolts - Left Side 102 Nm+ 1/4 Turn (75 ft. lbs.+ 1/4 Turn)

Exhaust Manifold Torque

Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head - Bolts 23 Nm (200 in. lbs)
