Fuel Tank - Installation
INSTALLATION
1. Support fuel tank with transmission jack.
2. Raise fuel tank and push the filler tube vent line through the bracket.
3. Fuel tank strap bolt locations.
4. Install the fuel tank strap bolt and tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the fuel tank strap bolt and tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
6. Connect the vapor line Service and Repair.
7. Connect the fuel supply line Service and Repair.
8. Connect the EVAP line in the right rear wheel well Service and Repair.
9. Install the drive shaft Propeller Shaft - Installation
10. Install the exhaust system Installation.
11. Install the metal filler tube to the rubber tube on the fuel tank.
12. Install the clamp to the filler tube and tighten to 3.5 Nm (31 in. lbs.).
13. Connect the filler tube vent line Service and Repair.
14. Install the inner splash shield Splash Shield - Installation.
15. Install the left underbody splash shield.
16. Install the right underbody splash shield.
17. Install the left rear tire Tires and Wheels - Installation.
18. Lower the vehicle.
19. Install the left side module and align marks on the module for proper orientation.
20. Install the module lock-ring.
21. Use SAE Fuel Pump Lock Ring Wrench 9340 to tighten the left side module lock ring.
22. Connect the electrical connector to the left side module and install the plastic access cover.
23. Install the right side module and align marks on the module for proper orientation.
24. Install the module lock-ring.
25. Use SAE Fuel Pump Lock Ring Wrench 9340 to tighten the right side module lock ring.
26. Connect the fuel supply line to the module Service and Repair.
27. Install the plastic access cover to the right side floor pan.
28. Fold the foam pad covering the module access covers back into place.
29. Place the seat cushion into position.
30. Engage the retainer loops (1) into the cups on the floor kick up.
31. Push downward on the forward edge of the rear seat cushion to engage the retainer loops to the cups.
32. Fill the fuel tank.
33. Connect the negative battery cable.
34. Use the scan tool to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks.
