- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:
Whenever the module does not receive a signal from the trunk handle. This code is set by the PEM for information only. The wiring for the Decklid switch goes to the Cabin Compartment Node (CCN).





VERIFY THAT DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) B259E-00 IS ACTIVE
1. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
2. Cycle the ignition switch off then back on.
3. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display DTC B259E-00-TRUNK/LIFTGATE DOOR HANDLE SENSE as active?

Yes

- B1826 Perform the B1826-Trunk Release Switch Input Circuit Low diagnostic procedure.

No

- Stored Lost Communication DTCs Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.
