B25A3-00-FRONT LEFT DOOR HANDLE SENSOR
NOTE: Before proceeding, check the handle for any foreign material, or binding, that could cause a sticking situation to the handle or switch.
- When Monitored:
During a Passive Entry Event.
- Set Condition:
If the hall sensor in the handle stays active for longer than 120 seconds, this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Open the left front window.
4. Turn the ignition off and close all doors.
5. Have the FOBIK outside the car and within 6 feet from the handle.
6. Open and close the left front door by the outside handle several times.
7. Using the handle lock switch, lock the doors.
8. Wait for three (3) minutes.
9. Unlock and open the door by pulling the handle.
10. Turn the ignition on.
11. Using the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B25A3-00-FRONT LEFT DOOR HANDLE SENSOR as active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Go To 2
2. DOOR HANDLE
In the previous step, did the Door Handle lock and unlock the door as it should?
No
- Go To 3
Yes
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
3. DOOR HANDLE OR PEM
1. Open the Right Front window.
2. Turn the ignition off and close all doors.
3. Have the FOBIK outside the car and within 6 feet of the handle.
4. Open and close the Right Front Door by the outside handle several times.
5. Using the handle lock switch, lock the doors.
6. Unlock and open the door by pulling the handle.
Did the Door Handle lock and unlock the door as it should?
No
- Replace the PEM Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
Yes
- Replace the Left Front Door Handle.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
