Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the glove box. Refer to "Glove Box".
3. Remove the floor console. Refer to Interior Trim.
4. Remove the audio system. Refer to Audio systems.
5. Remove the lower cover.
6. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to "Instrument Cluster".
7. Remove the knee bolster trim panel.
8. Remove the kick panels. Refer to Interior Trim.
9. Disconnect the sun sensor electrical connector.
10. Remove the bolts and instrument panel assembly.
11. Remove the bolts and the passenger air-bag module.
12. Remove the screws and the air-duct.
13. Remove the vent.
14. Remove the Instrument panel from the body.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the instrument panel in the vehicle.
2. Connect the instrument panel electrical connectors.
NOTE: Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use the correct fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.
3. Install the air-duct with the screws.
4. Install the passenger air-bag module with the bolts.
5. Install the sun sensor.
6. Install the audio system, Refer to audio system.
7. Install the instrument cluster. Refer to "Instrument cluster".
8. Install the floor console. Refer to Interior trim.
9. Install the lower cover.
10. Install the glove box. Refer to "glove box".
11. Install the instrument panel side cover.
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
