Continuity Check

1. Using a suitable ohmmeter check for continuity between terminals 2, and 3, Fig. 8.
2. Ensure no continuity exists between terminals 2, and 4.

Relay Operation Check

1. Connect terminal 4 to positive of battery, Fig. 9.
2. Connect terminal 1 to negative of battery.
3. Relay should operate (clicking noise).

Intermittent Operation Check

1. Connect terminal 4 to positive of battery.
2. Connect terminal 1 to negative of battery, relay should operate.
3. Connect terminal 3 to positive battery for about a second, then ground terminal 3, Fig. 10. Relay should click, then four seconds later, operate again.
