Fig. 7, Checking Coolant Temperature Sender Resistance:

1. The coolant temperature sending unit is located at the rear of the cylinder head.
2. Measure resistance between coolant temperature sending unit and ground, Fig. 7.
3. On Charade models with 1.3L/4-79 engine, resistance should be approximately 196 ohms at 50°C and 22.2 ohms at 120°C.
4. On all models, if resistance reading are not with in limits, remove coolant temperature sending unit.
