SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Corrosion of body sheetmetal components in the vicinity of the battery and battery overcharging. This is due to excess water spilling onto the battery from rain, wash, or road splash and then being ingested into the battery through its vent holes. Normal battery expansion and contraction may overfill the battery then spew out acid solution.

2 - Battery Water Shield Attaching Washer PN 120392
2 - Battery Water Shield Attaching Lock Nut PN 152360

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Position Battery Shield, PN 4335558, over battery (Figure 1).
2. Secure with Washer, PN 120392, and Lock Nut, PN 152360, on each battery hold down stud (Figure 1). It is not necessary to remove existing battery hold down lock nuts.
