Verification Test VER-3A - Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS)

To verify the vehicle theft security system, proceed as follows:

1. Make sure all doors and hoods are closed.
2. Make sure the liftgate is closed.
3. Open the driver's door.
4. Remove the ignition key (but keep it in hand).
5. Lock the doors with the power lock switch.
6. Close the driver's door.

- If the instrument panel VTSS indicator lamp flashes, the system is operational and verified.

- If the instrument panel VTSS indicator lamp does not flash, 20 engine stans have not occurred, or there is a problem with the system, perform Vehicle Theft Security System TEST 1A. 1A Identifying Vehicle Theft Security System Problems
