Low Fuel Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The illumination of the lamp is controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM). When the BCM detects a low fuel condition based on the input of the fuel gauge level, circuit G4, it illuminates the lamp.

This is accomplished by the BCM sending a message over the CCD Bus to the instrument cluster for lamp illumination.
