CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATIONTO REPLACE BOTH CHILD SEAT ASSEMBLIES IN YOUR VEHICLE
Dear Chrysler Minivan Owner:
The satisfaction of our customers is very important to Chrysler. Because of this, we are requesting owners of some 1996 Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country minivans equipped with integrated child seats, to return them to their dealer for a special service.
The Concern is...
The integrated child seat belt retractors in your minivan (identified in this bulletin), may restrict belt travel, making it difficult to remove a child from the seat after unlatching the belt buckle.
What Chrysler and your dealer will do...
Chrysler will repair your minivan free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace both child seat assemblies with revised seats containing retractor improvements. The revised seats will also increase child comfort by incorporating protective seat belt wraps to prevent belt chafe. The work will take less than one hour to complete. However, additional time may be necessary depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and processed.
What you should do...
^ Simply contact the dealer where you purchased your vehicle to schedule a service appointment. Ask the dealer to hold the parts for your vehicle or to order them before your appointment.
^ Bring the enclosed Owner Notification Form with you to your dealer. It explains the required service to your dealer.
