GROUP: Body

DATE: Dec. 5, 1995

SUBJECT:
Discolored / Hazed Cowl Grille And / Or Outside Rear View Mirror(s)

MODELS:
1996 (NS) Town & Country/Caravan/Voyager
1996 (GS) Chrysler Voyager (European Market)

DISCUSSION:

The cowl grille and/or outside rear view mirror(s) may become discolored/hazed. Discoloration or hazing are the result of Ultra Violet (UV) damage from sunlight, fallout, or fine scratches (swirls). The first 2 causes are usually because the vehicle has not been washed frequently enough.

If the cowl grille and/or outside rear view mirror(s) are discolored/hazed, the following procedure can be used to return the cowl grille and/or outside rear view mirror(s) to a like new appearance.

1. Wash the vehicle.
2. If discoloration or hazing is severe, begin with Mopar Swirl Mark Remover (P/N 4761862) on the effected area, otherwise go to step 3. Follow the instructions on the bottle. Use a clean cloth, apply by hand and polish to a gloss.
3. Apply Mopar Premium Cleaner/Wax (P/N 4761861). Follow the instructions on the bottle. Use a clean cloth, apply by hand, and wipe off when nearly dry.

NOTE:
Unlike other plastic materials, the cowl grille and/or outside rear view mirror(s) will not be damaged by these polishing materials.
