This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin 23-65-95, dated Nov. 3, 1995, which should be removed from your files. The revision changes the repair procedure and parts required. All revisions are highlighted with **asterisks**.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to Nov. 15, 1995 (MDH 1115XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some vehicles may have the power vent window actuator separate at the ball and socket joint.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the power vent window actuator ball and socket for separation, or if the vehicle operator describes experiencing separation of the power vent window actuator ball and socket but has since snapped them back together, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
**2 4882230 Socket (Retainer), Power Window Actuator**
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the power vent window actuator socket on the rear quarter glass assembly.
1. For better access, put the vent window actuator in the open position.
2. Separate the power vent window actuator ball and socket by prying the ball from the socket, if they are not already separated.
3. Rotate the socket counterclockwise to unscrew it from the glass assembly (pliers maybe required).
4. Install new socket (P/N 4882230) by threading it onto the stud attached to the quarter glass. Hand tighten and align the socket so it will engage the properly with the ball.
5. Snap the ball and socket together.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the other side.
