DISCUSSION:
Fuels with a maximum volume percentage of 5% Bio-Diesel can be used for Sprinter engine type OM647and 0M642. Bio-Diesel, also known as Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME), fuel must comply with specification ASTM D 6751 by the World-Wide Fuel Charter (WWFC), category 1-3. Fuel must also have the necessary oxidation stability:
(min. 6h, proved with EN14112 method) to prevent damage from deposits and/or corrosion.
CAUTION:
The B5 Bio-Diesel blend should only be used if is sufficiently labeled to indicate that it meets the above standard. The engine may suffer severe damage if operated with concentrations of Bio-Diesel higher than 5%.
