THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 23-052-06, DATED NOVEMBER 4, 2006, AND SERVICE BULLETIN 23-012-07, DATED APRIL 4, 2007 WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES. ALL REVISIONS ARE HIGHLIGHTED WITH **ASTERISKS** AND INCLUDE ADDITIONAL PARTS AND UPDATED REPAIR PROCEDURE.

Door Trim Panel/Speaker Buzz
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing isolating materials to the front and rear door trim panels, door handle bezel, wire harness and installing shims to the door trim panels.
MODELS:
2007 (KA) Nitro
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A buzzing sound may be present in the front or rear doors when the radio is played.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer indicates that the condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the inside front door handle bezel.
2. Lay the bezel face down on a soft surface. Apply two (2) pieces of flock tape, p/n 05019055AA to the back side of the bezel. Tape should not roll up the angled taper or hang off the outside edge (Fig. 1).
3. **Remove door trim panel**.
4. Apply cloth electrical tape/friction tape to the door wire harness as shown, removing the tie straps as you apply the tape as shown (Fig 2).
NOTE:
Use cloth tape only, vinyl tape may cause a squeak.
5. Install wheel weight shims to the door module front tabs and pockets as shown making sure to center them in the pockets. (Fig 3)
6. Cut one wheel weight shim in half to install on center tab. Make sure to install the half wheel weight shim in the center of tab between ribs.
7. Add one piece of foam tape to upper rear of door trim (Fig.4). Foam tape shall be cut in a 2 in. x 2 in. square piece.**
8. Install the door handle bezel.
9. **Install the door trim panel.**
10. Repeat the process for the other doors as required.
