B2348-WIPER MOTOR LOW SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN

- When Monitored:
With the Windshield Wipers are turned on.
- Set Condition:
When the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) detects a open condition in the wiper low speed control output circuit.
1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all TIPM DTCs.
3. Turn the Windshield Wipers on.
4. With the scan tool read the DTC information.
Is B2348-WIPER MOTOR LOW SPEED CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN Active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are no longer present. Please use the wiring schematics as a guide to check the related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out terminals, bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. (W3) WIPER LOW SPEED CONTROL OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the TIPM C10 harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Windshield Wiper harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the (W3) Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit.
Is the resistance above 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (W3) Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit for an open condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. WIPER MOTOR
1. Connect the TIPM C10 harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Turn the Windshield Wipers on.
4. Measure for voltage of the (W3) Wiper Low Speed Control Output circuit.
Is the voltage above 10.0 Volts?
Yes
- Replace the Wiper Motor.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
