B1667-REVERSE LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

With the transmission gear selector in reverse.

- Set Condition:
The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) detects a low condition in the backup lamp feed circuit.





1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, clear all TIPM DTCs.
3. Shift the transmission into REVERSE.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display DTC B1667-REVERSE LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. (L1) BACKUP LAMP FEED CIRCUIT




1. Shift the transmission into PARK.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the TIPM C6 harness connector.
4. Disconnect the Left and Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connectors.
5. Measure the resistance between ground and the (L1) Backup Lamp circuit.

Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Repair the short to ground in the (L1) Backup Lamp Feed circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
