Wiper Motor Inoperative or Operates at One Speed Only

1. Check linkage for binding or obstruction and repair as needed.
2. With ignition on and wiper switch in low position, connect test lamp between white wire terminal in wiper motor electrical connector and ground.
3. With ignition on and wiper switch in high position, connect test lamp between dark blue wire terminal in motor electrical connector and ground.
4. If lamp fails to light in step 2 or 3, check feed circuit from ignition switch, continuity of wiper switch in affected position, and continuity of wiring between motor and switch. Repair wiring or replace switch as needed.
5. If lamp lights in steps 2 and 3, check motor ground strap and electrical connections, and repair as needed.
6. If motor fails to operate properly and all other components are satisfactory, repair or replace motor.
