Shift Indicator - A/T: Description and Operation

Used on manual transmission equipped vehicles only, this light is actuated by the ECU during vehicle operation when engine speed and load conditions warrant a change to a higher gear for fuel economy purposes. If the recommended shift is not performed within 3 to 5 seconds, the light will automatically deactivate.
