ECU Replacement

FIGURE 1:

Removal


The ECU is located in a plastic clamshell that is mounted under the black plastic cover (C - Figure 1) on the left inner strut tower in the engine compartment.
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.

FIGURE 3:

2. Remove the wing nut (E - Figure 3).

3. Remove the black plastic cover (C - Figure 3).

FIGURE 4:

4. Pull back retaining clip (F - Figure 4).
5. Remove the plastic clamshell and open it.

FIGURE 5:

6. Disconnect the ECU connector (C - Figure 5).
7. Remove the ECU retaining nuts (H - Figure 5) and remove the ECU from the clamshell.
