Installation

1. Position the updated ECU into the clamshell and install the retaining nuts.

2. Connect the ECU connector.

Note: Disconnect the adaptive memory circuit on ECU P/N 7700 742 993 as explained in the attached adaptive memory circuit procedure.

3. Place the top half of the clamshell on the bottom half and secure the assembly in position with the retaining clip.

4. Position the black plastic cover and secure it with the wing nut.

5. Place a daub of red paint on the exposed end of the clamshell (J - Figure 6) to indicate that the ECU has been changed.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
