Refer to chart, Fig. 6, and wiring schematic, Fig. 7, when performing troubleshooting procedures.
Whenever performing any tests on the system, the following service precautions should be observed:
1. Ensure that the trouble is not caused by a component that is not part of the fuel injection system (i. e., spark plugs).
2. Ensure that there are no air leaks in the intake or exhaust system.
3. Ensure that the fuel injectors are being supplied with an adequate amount of fuel. Perform system pressure test if necessary.
4. Do not connect or disconnect any system component without turning off the ignition switch.
5. Ensure that the fuel pump runs for several seconds when the ignition switch is turned On.
6. Disconnect battery cables before charging the battery.
