Fuel Injector: Description and Operation

Fuel Injector:

The fuel injector is found in the throttle body and is a single central injector. The amount of time the injector is open is determined by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and is known as pulse width. The ECU monitors various sensor inputs to determine required fuel amounts, and varies the injector pulse width accordingly. Fuel is injected into the throttle body above the throttle plate.
